There is not a "boot pxe" option by name, but did you try "boot net:dhcp"? Most of the netboot documentation is outdated; rarpd is no longer needed to netboot sparc machines.

Hi,

How does one determine the CPU numbering system ? e.g. is CPU0 and CPU1 sibling threads on the same core ?
What is the best way to control which core or logical core is turned on (i.e. seen by the OS scheduler)
Both questions are for Linux. In solaris, cpus can be "turned on/off" with prsadm (very much like hotplug cpu)
Thanks.

Hey there..

I got my T2000 from Sun a couple of weeks ago and just cannot get ubuntu installed on it.. have downloaded the ubuntu-sparc iso's again and again but same problem... it freezes at the partitioner during install...

Did you have this problem? were there any specific kernel boot params you had to specify?

Do you know of any howto's on getting this all running? my googling turned up nothing.

Have even asked on irc but I just keep getting recommendations to install gentoo!

Thanks for any help you can provide.
